A team of 11 staff and friends from Verina Daly Care took part in the Pretty Muddy race within Race for Life at Southsea on 9th July. We chose Race for Life because 2 members of our staff are cancer survivors, and we also wanted to do it in memory of our clients and family members we have lost to cancer, and those we are still losing today.
We felt it would also be a great way to team build as we are all lone workers who don’t get to spend much time together.
We had a great day, everyone got really muddy as you can see in the photo, and best of all, we raised over £2000 thanks to the generosity of our supporters. What a result!
